Intro to Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Workshop
Are you interested in learning strategies to live a more full life? As humans, we often get trapped in our busy schedules, operate from autopilot, and fail to be truly present in our lives. Mindfulness allows us to see more clearly what is happening so that we can meet each moment with more compassion and awareness.
This workshop will provide an introduction to some of the key components of research-based Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), which have been proven effective in treating a number of concerns, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, chronic pain, fatigue, and grief.
During this two-hour workshop, you will:
- Learn about the history and research behind Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.
- Practice several of the MBSR strategies that you can incorporate into your everyday life, including a body awareness meditation, a loving kindness meditation, and mindful conversation.
- Participate in group discussion to reflect and ask questions about mindfulness practices.
This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to “wake up” to their lives! No experience is necessary.
